Ignorance knows no discrimination

Why do all the people in positions of power , influence, or access to wide sections of easily influenced people all decry the ineptitude of those that do not follow their thought process and conclusions.  Congress says we must cut spending and cannot continue to spend more than we make - I think most people would agree - but they are unwilling to cut any area that they think might have a negative impact on their popularity with their constituents .We need common men with common sense and a true commitment to the country and not to their reelection
